1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Ground Truth (ground-truth.co), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

Ground Truth is a property intelligence platform that aggregates publicly available data from government and open-data sources to generate location reports. Reports include an AI-synthesised verdict powered by Anthropic's Claude.

3. Not professional advice

Ground Truth does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice. Our reports are informational tools designed to assist your research. They should not be the sole basis for any property purchase, investment, or legal decision. Always consult qualified professionals (solicitors, surveyors, financial advisors) before making property decisions.

4. Data accuracy

We aggregate data from public sources including HM Land Registry, Police.uk, Environment Agency, EPC Register, Companies House, ONS, and others. While we strive for accuracy:

• Data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors from the original sources
• AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies or hallucinations
• Property valuations and forecasts are estimates, not guarantees
• We make no warranty that the data is current, complete, or error-free

5. User accounts

You may create an account using Google Sign-In or a magic email link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide a valid email address and must not impersonate others.

6. Premium features and payments

• Free accounts receive a standard location report
• New users receive one complimentary premium report upon first sign-up
• Premium plans (single reports and monthly subscriptions) are available for purchase via Stripe
• Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Single report credits are non-refundable once a premium report has been generated
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the platform
• Resell, redistribute, or republish reports without permission
• Attempt to circumvent payment or authentication systems
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

8. Intellectual property

The Ground Truth name, logo, design, and AI-generated report formats are our intellectual property. The underlying data from public sources retains its original licensing (e.g. Open Government Licence for UK government data). You may use reports for your personal or professional property research.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ground Truth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to losses from property decisions made based on our reports.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service at any time.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
